Confessions Of A UFO Hoaxer – Does The Church Of Ufology Have A Dental Plan?

Is There A Doctor In The House?

Everyone has a belief system. Even a staunch atheist has a belief in not believing. Thing is though, you really only can have one if you're true to your belief. Take religion for example. You can't follow Catholicism and Judaism both at the same time. You may convert by all means, but it has to be one or the other at any given moment. So with that established, let's take a look at ufology. Last thing I heard was that it was a belief, so if you believe in UFO's and little green men from another planet, you obviously would put for example say, your faith in Christianity on the line.

Ok, so this topic is up for debate in a big way and the last thing I want is to start is any religious conflicts. Basically though, to have a belief in something means that the subject has never really been proven to exist therefore it is only something to believe in. If its existence of life was proven then there would be no need for the trust and confidence in any received theology upon the given subject. Any debaters yet? If there is, don't tell me, tell the publishers of the Oxford English Dictionary. Now, as far as we're concerned UFO's have yet to be 100% proven that they exist, and that goes for God also, therefore both topics are only to be believed in as a matter of faith.

With that affair hopefully cleared up as a ground rule, and knowing that there is no direct mention of alien beings from another planet in the Holy Bible, or even any other planet for that matter, then a staunch believer in the Christian faith would have absolutely no reason whatsoever to include space travellers in their equation of life. Then explain these. I came across this website in checking out some UFO picture research, and yet again I was proved that people are getting dumber by the minute. As sure as hell, (sure about that?), this isn't the only one of it's kind, and that there are many more twisted potential cultists out there trying to snag a few gullibles and get them to drink the cranberry juice.

Not only is the web content totally contradictory, but the photograph is a complete spoof. My skills in Adobe Photoshop are put to the test here. You'll notice this best if you have a laptop or flat screen monitor. Open the pictures in full size for best results. You know the way all the colours go weird on a flat screen if you look at it at a certain angle? Well look at them from about a 45 degree angle coming from the left or right and check those funny looking patches with the remnants of faint lines above the "wheel hub/brake disc" shaped "UFO". Whatever it is, it was suspended by something from above which was blotted out badly by an airbrush.

Now I'm trying to do some serious research here, and what with all these crackpots I'm coming up against it certainly gives more of a sceptic view to the whole topic of ufology. This instance is one of many, and these damn hoaxers aren't doing the whole belief system any justice. I'd be lying myself if I didn't say I was a bit of a prankster, but to go to the lengths of the web content on this and many other alike is just beyond a joke. Not everyone is as sceptical, and there are those unfortunates who do tend to get sucked in, and to be honest that's just downright evil to try and take advantage of a situation as such.

Take these two photos for example. In your opinion are they the real deal or fake? Look pretty convincing to me compared to some of the crap I've came across.

What would you make of those if I told you they were taken only a few hours before I posted this article and were the source of inspiration behind it? The man who took them was of good character background, very honest nature, maybe an idiot at times but a reliable source, and was trustworthy of his friends for them to believe in his story, which was this…

"It was around the middle of the afternoon when I decided to take a break from my work and go out on the balcony for a cigarette. Not two minutes I was outside when I saw this object passing by, slowly hovering approximately over where the coastline was of our town. I rushed inside the house and asked my brother to borrow his digicam and managed to get these two pictures before the disc shaped object suddenly disappeared and found its way back into the tool box where it belonged."

Well, sorry to burst anyone's bubble and get their hopes up about these pictures which are so far yet to be found anywhere else on the web, but I am that idiot in question who took the pictures and I can guarantee you that they are 100% spoof. The object is nothing more than an inspection mirror and a clever piece of Photoshop enhancement. Don't believe me? Well, scroll down for the real proof.

I could have taken this further and said it was the real thing, but not being so disturbed and attention seeking as that, I opted to go for the truth as I see no gain in telling stories and I’ve yet to form my own profitable religion. Now I'm not trying to say that there is no such thing as UFO's. I don't want to be a total killjoy and give people less to hope for in life. Just saying don't believe everything you hear or see on the web, and take these things with a pinch of salt. Trust me when I say I'd like to believe in them myself, but with all the sh*te found on the internet compared to accounts of a possible genuine nature, it's very difficult to apply a solid faith. Agnostic seems to work for me though, and even though it may cause a lot of conflict resulting in a bust lip and a broken tooth from the UFO community, seeing is definitely believing, but with your own eyes at your own level of first hand perception providing you’re not stoned immaculate.

The Offending Object

Without the air brush.
Without the air brush.
And without the glamour.
And without the glamour.
Sorry!
Sorry!

On an additional note, I became inspired after doing this article, and to show that I'm not completely trying to dismiss ufology altogether which some people may think by my opinions that I'm trying to do, I created a website dedicated to separating the genuine UFO reports and sightings from the downright ridiculous attempts at hoax. I also scrutinized the photos in question at the beginning of this article to a greater extent as I believe everyone deserves to know the truth. If you think this one is BS you should take a look at sites by Aileen Garoutte and Mary Sutherland.

Yeah I see what you meen with regards to Garoutte and Sutherland. Unfortunately though they seem to be touting the stories without photographic "evidence". Couple of crackpot hacks trying to make an easy buck off those in need of spiritual guidance. I'd be more inclined to believe a story from Papa Lazarou. hahaha.. Keep those links coming though. I'm always game for a bit of sport. Thanks. :)
